ABOUT HENRY SECTION
Betting Advice
| Henry’s stakes are on a scale of 1 to 10. Average stake 2.5 points. Average price of winners in 2009 was 8-1. | |
| If your maximum bet is £500, you should be betting at £50 per point, and if your maximum is £200 you should be betting at £20 per point. | |
| You should have a betting bank of at least 100 times your stake. If you are betting at £50 per point, Henry recommends that you have a bank of at least £5000. | |
| It is extremely important that you stick to the staking plan. Henry often advises high stakes on big prices. Some backers find it difficult to put large amounts of money on horses at long prices, but it is vital that you do so. | |
| A 7 pt win, 3 pt place bet at 25-1 will yield profit of 193.75 points (£9,687.50 if you are betting at £50 per point) - you cannot afford to miss out on those winners | |
| Don’t increase your stake after a profitable period. You must stick to the same unit per point for the full period of your subscription. If you wish, you can bet to level stakes. For the last two years, a £200 win bet on all selections would have yielded the same profit as betting £100 per point on the staking plan. However, in 1996 and 1997 the profit would have been significantly reduced if betting to level stakes. | |
| Although Henry offers a three-month subscription, it is important to stress that betting on horse racing is not a get rich quick plan. Backing horses is all about long term success. | |
| You should plan to stick with Henry for at least a six-month period to maximise profits. One year would be ideal to make sure that you benefit fully from Henry’s advice. | |
| Henry advises between two and five bets per week between March 1st and the end of the Flat season, and between one and two bets per week during the majority of the jump season between November and March 1st. | |
| Henry says it’s important to open as many accounts with bookmakers as possible in order to maximise your chances of getting the best prices available. It is free to open an account with all of the major bookmakers and most will have special offers for new members. Click on the FREE BETS link on the menu bar above for all the latest bookmaker offers. |
|
| There are some excellent person-to-person betting sites on the web. You can back and lay on the exchanges and it is a major help to open an account with Betfair.com, which can be accessed through Henry’s web site at henryrix.com. Hundreds of millions in bets are being matched every week and great value is often available to large stakes. | |
| Bets are normally on line at 12.00 midday. At the very big meetings like Cheltenham, Royal Ascot, Newmarket, Goodwood and York, Henry sometimes makes his message available at 9.00am to take advantage of early morning prices. Clients will be warned well in advance if the time to call is going to change for any reason. | |
